Looking for a unique place to get a tattoo? Or a place no one would ever see it unless you showed them? If so, an lipstick lips tattoo may be a good choice. Typically, a tattoo inside the mouth is found on the bottom inner lip. Until recently, lipstick lips tattoos were not sought by people, and are still not very common. Lipstick lips tattoos originated from a procedure by horse owners, who branded their names into their horse's inner lip. There are many benefits to getting a tattoo inside your lip:
Hidden: An lipstick lips tattoo is not visible to people without it being shown to them, which is a benefit if your employer is not fond of tattoos. So if you want a special memory, and don't want everyone who sees your tattoo asking questions about it, an lipstick lips tattoo is a good idea. Also, if your parents or significant other is a person who does not enjoy tattoos, they will never know you have it because it will be concealed.
Design: Lipstick lips tattoos are limited to small designs or letters. Because there is not a large amount of space inside the lip, simple tattoos that do not require the tattoo artist to do a lot of strokes using the tattoo machine are necessary. This usually means that black tattoos are best. Names or words are becoming common designs people choose to get inside their bottom lip. Just because the tattoo has to be small and lack color, does not mean it can't be unique and meaningful!
Price: Because the tattoo is confined to the inside of the lip, it must be small, so the price is usually reasonable. Details, such as color and design, which larger tattoos require, are costly. Luckily, mouth tattoos are compact and simple allowing you to get an affordable tattoo. A tattoo on your inner lip is an awesome way to hide a tattoo while still getting a memory that will last forever. A lip tattoo is a unique way to get a lasting memory that will not take up room on your skin, and leave more canvas (skin) for other tattoos. Good luck on your future inking adventures!

Have You Ever Heard of a Lipstick Lips Tattoo or Inner Lip Tattoo?
I have been browsing around looking for different types off Body Ink Art, and stumbled upon Inner Lip Tattoos or lipstick lips tattoo. Sounds like something new and different. Apparently it's the newest craze!
What Is a Lipstick Lips Tattoo?
Getting a lipstick lips tattoo is currently becoming very popular. It is when you have a motive, name, symbol, number or other small design tattooed on the inner part of your bottom lip. (Getting it on your top lip is also possible but not the norm.)
Who Should get one?
If you are someone burning to get a some ink done, but don't really want anyone to see it unless you show it to them (no-one will see this tattoo unless you show them the inside of your bottom lip) or if you want a tattooed name of someone you have a special relationship or friendship with, this could also work for you, especially if you are still uncertain about the relationship, because not only are they easy to hide but they are also known to fade quite fast unless you go for touch ups.
How Long do They Last?
How long the lip tats last differs from person to person. A lipstick lips tattoo can last between 1-5 years if you continue going for touch ups but usually they fade quite quickly and some of them can even fade or smudge within a week.. This is because your inner lip is constantly wet so it doesn't really seal the ink in like skin tattoos. Plus your saliva breaks down the ink like it would food. You have to get it touched up at least 4 or 5 times before it stays more permanent. So make sure you go to a professional tattoo artist who has experience with lipstick lips tattooing. A tip to apparently make them last a bit longer is to place a piece of tissue paper between your lips after the work is done, to give the pigment or ink a better chance of penetrating deeper.
How much do Lipstick Lips Tattoos hurt?
The level of pain like with all tattoos also differ from person to person. Some people say that it's the most painful place to get a tattoo, and some say that it's a misconception that lip tattoos hurt the most. So I think it is safe to say that it would hurt just as much as any other tattoo on your body would. Another thing to remember is that a lip tattoo also leaves a funny taste in your mouth, which is normal because of the blood and ink. (So don't panic.) Tip: the artist must be experienced and be able to do your lip tattoo without hurting the veins that you have in your lip.
Lipstick Lips Tattoo After Care!
All tattoos require after care and lipstick lips tattoos are no different. You cannot eat or drink anything directly after a lip tattoo is done and in the long run you will probably have to rinse your mouth after eating, drinking and smoking so be sure to take the after care advice from your tattoo artist. But here are some general tips: do not use normal mouthwash, the chemicals will make it fade faster. (Use antibacterial or alcohol free.) Do not pick at it or rub it because if you cause it to bleed you will lose pigment. Do not suck on your lip and stay away or limit your intake of citrus fruits and alcohol.
What do Lipstick Lips Tattoos cost?
they are usually more expensive than other tattoos because it is a difficult place for a tattoo even though the process itself is usually quite quick. You have to take into account that lip tattoos need constant touch ups and some tattoo artists include the touch ups in their price. That being said you can expect to pay between $50 - $100 depending on the popularity and status of your tattoo artist/shop.
in closing: remember to always go to a professional tattoo artist with a good record of tattooing hygienically in a sterile environment because the lip is sensitive and could get easily infected and the possibility is always also there that you could have an allergic reaction to the ink.So, do you dare to get lipstick lips tattoo?

Accidentally Got Lipstick Lips Tattoo
Lipstick Lips Tattoo
I accidentally got lipstick on my cut lips? will it become a tattoo? No!.Tattoos are made with special tattoo ink. So unless you use tattoo ink as lipstick, you don't have a lipstick lips tattoo. That tattoo its not going to stay..
You need to clean it out good, with soap and water and when u wake up tomorrow u wont even know it happened.
Is it safe to get lipstick lips tattoo?
I guess it's not the best place to get tattooed, with the scarring and that, but it has been done, it also depends what you have done. And yes, it would really hurt, more than some other areas because lips are very tender and delicate. It would have the same risks as any tattooing a suppose. But you should really ask around some tattoo parlous to make double certain because I may be wrong.
My friends cousin just got her name on the inside of her lip. When she did she said it hurt a lot but was worth it. I advise you not to do this because your lips are very sensitive and not a good place to get a tattoo. I don't know why you wouldn't just put on lipstick? Its all up to you just take care of it if you do get it and remember not everyone has the same pain tolerance of getting lipstick lips tattoo.
